Residential care aims to enable residents to enjoy maximum independence and peace of mind, knowing that help is always at hand. At our residential care home in West Sussex, residents have 24 hour access to personal care and practical support so can receive assistance with everyday tasks such as bathing, dressing, moving around and light, personal housekeeping. When needed, personal care is provided by Care Assistants who are specially trained for the role.
We provide attentive and discreet care that is tailored to the needs of our residents while maintaining and enhancing their quality of life.
We understand how important privacy, dignity and choice are. We know that most older people value keeping their independence and so we respect this and encourage you to choose how your residential care is planned and delivered. Our carers work with residents and their families and friends to create tailored care plans which spell out their wishes and encompass every aspect of well-being to ensure individual health and care needs are continually met.
Mealtimes: Freshly Cooked, Wholesome Ingredients
We know how important mealtimes are to our residents; they’re an enjoyable and social part of each day, and a key element of good care. Our skillful and experienced chefs take pride in planning and preparing meals which are tasty, nutritionally balanced and attractively presented. Special diets and personal preferences can always be catered for, and we’re happy to provide food for family celebrations. We aim always to use fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients in our residential care homes wherever possible.
Living an Active and Engaged Life
For many people spending time taking part in fun and stimulating activities and keeping abreast with what’s going on is an important part of living a rich life. We’re committed to offering residents a wide range of stimulating and fun activities which they can choose to take part in.
Within our care home we have a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who arranges a variety of themed events, activities and outings so that residents may enjoy daily activities in the home as well as locally in the community.
We warmly welcome visitors at any time and we’re happy for them to stay for meals if they wish to. We never forget that our home is our residents’ home, so we encourage them to come and go as they please, maintain links with family and friends, and visit the local community for shopping, entertainment or sight-seeing.
Personal Care, Focusing on Health and Personal Care
We work closely with local GPs, district nurses, dentists, chiropodists, physiotherapists, and other therapists who either visit our homes regularly, or make visits by arrangement. Our homes also provide hairdressing services for residents, and some have a salon.
Quality Staff, Hand-Picked
All our staff are chosen because of their skills and their personal qualities including warmth, compassion, good communication and professionalism. Whether they are carers, part of the kitchen team, housekeepers or managers and administrators, they are all passionate about what they do and providing the best care to our residents. We train and develop our staff well, so you know you’re in good hands. Our care teams undergo intensive training and are required to complete accredited QCF (Quality Care Framework) qualifications.
